Before you go…ENSURE YOUR DRIVER WAS NOT DRINKING!

It has happened to many of us. We don’t intend to drink but we get tempted when we see our friends having a good time with a few sips. Then we reason with ourselves that just one drink won’t hurt. It is important that we remember that at any level of intoxication, even at mild levels, several of our body’s processing systems are impacted:

  • Our coordination is impaired
  • Our reaction time is reduced
  • Our inhibitions are lowered

We may not even be aware of it, but according to 1 research our brains are affected every time we consume alcohol. There is an increased likelihood of an accident occurring when we drink and drive, as our response systems will not be as effective as they normally would be, even after just one drink.

So make up your mind ahead to avoid drinking if you will be driving, or have a designated driver who won’t be drinking come along.
