Donation to the Alexander Basic School in Clarendon

TransJamaican Highway, Jamaican Infrastructure Operator Ltd. along with other vested stakeholders in the Highway 2000 East-West project came together donate an array of schools supplies to the Alexander basic school in Clarendon.

The school, with a total of two classrooms for early childhood education of ages 3 – 4 years and 4 – 6 years was very appreciative of the support received. The students benefitted from stationery supplies, learning tools, whiteboards, and fans among other educational items.

The early stages of childhood, from 0 – 8 years are the most integral in a child's development as it is during these years that they learn most quickly than at any other time in their lives, their brain veritable sponges that rapidly absorb social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.

As Jamaican's lament the strident increase criminal activities, it should beg the question, "what did those persons experience or witness in their early years?"
